SmartThings Works with Google Home

PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--SmartThings

today announced an integration with Google Home as one of the anchor

launch partners. Google Home is a new voice activated speaker, designed

for hands-free help from the Google Assistant to get answers from

Google, stream music, manage everyday tasks, and control smart home

products. With this integration, SmartThings is furthering its

commitment to voice control so consumers can interact with devices in

even more ways as they build a smart home that's more secure, efficient,

and delightful.

"Artificial intelligence has enabled more sophisticated voice control,

and consumers now desire to interact with devices in a more natural and

conversational way that fits seamlessly into their everyday lives," said

Alex Hawkinson, CEO and Founder of SmartThings. "At SmartThings, we're

committed to bringing voice control to the smart home and partnering

with the most innovative products like Google Home so consumers can

integrate with all of their favorite brands as we continue to expand our

open ecosystem."

and encourages users to have a more natural, conversational interaction

with their smart home.
